Dr. Puccio and the team at Veterinary Surgical Center of Long Island are exceptional. My 13-year-old dog, Eva, had a large soft tissue sarcoma on her right hip. Dr. Puccio was calm, direct, and clear about what was realistic. She walked me through margins, recurrence risk, recovery, and what to watch for. Her empathy and ability to make a complicated situation clear made this manageable. We came in on a Wednesday and they moved quickly, with surgery the next day. The surgery went well, and the post-op care was outstanding. Eva had complications that required a blood transfusion and an extra night of monitoring. Communication was timely and straightforward. Best place for nervous pet parents! Dougie needed a CT Scan ASAP and they were able to accommodate the next day. Worth the hr long drive! Our girl Luna an English Cream Golden Retriever went in for surgery on Christmas Eve to have a melanoma removed from her tonsils. The care she received went above and beyond especially during the Christmas holiday. Luna was the only patient and the Dr’s and staff provided us constant updates throughout Christmas Day. Luna is now back home resting peacefully. Clearly she has a long road ahead of her and Cancer shows no mercy so more treatments will be needed. The first phase of this battle was having the surgery and thanks to the team at VSCLI Luna is recovering and in excellent spirits.

Dr Gifford was amazing. 11pm Saturday night and our mini golden needs stitches on her ear. The staff took great care of her- and Us too. You can just tell people who love what they do - Highly recommend VCSLI.

Dr.Puccio and the entire staff are not just professionals they are caring and compassionate. Our 6 yr old dog Marley had to have ACL (wound up being total tear and meniscus repair as well) Needless to say, we were in a mad panic. Our Vet (Dr. Beth Shevell) highly recommend using VSCLI. She told us that Dr. Puccio had performed the same surgery on her dog years back. Dr. Shevell has been Our vet for over 15 yrs. and we trust her implicitly...
