Veterinary Associates - Galena

Last week, I was in Dubuque, IA with my Labrador Retriever, Huckleberry, where he was competing in the Dockdogs World Championship. Unfortunately, Huckleberry became sick and needed to see a veterinarian. Being 1300 miles from home, I was quite worried about finding a vet who I trusted to give Huckleberry the same care as his vet back home in Florida. But when I found Veterinary Associates, I quickly realized my worries were completely unfounded. The entire staff with whom I interacted were so very friendly, caring and efficient....from the receptionists to the vet techs to the veterinarian himself. They all understood my adverse situation and did everything they could to not only give Huckleberry the best care, but also to make my "away from home" situation as comfortable as possible. Dr.

Finally found my one and only horse vet!!!!!! I hesitate to mention how great Dr Hannah is with fear all the horse people will want her and I wnt be able to get an appt.,but with that said I highly recommend this awesome woman!! and now to top it off shes starting equine accupuncture.Hannah your the bestplease dont ever leave us.

I have been going to this facility for atleast 5 years with 5 of my pets. I didn't have a problem until my current dog was just denied anymore visits because I spoke up to a very rude employee that has zero costumer service skills nor empathy. We exchanged words after our last visit because I was late. I called to inform them I would be late so I could reschedule, but they told me to come anyway. We finally arrived, were seen, and all seemed well... Until Ms. Disresptful informed me that from now on I would have to pay a deposit bcuz I've been late 3 times in 5 years!!! I was very offended, almost crying and even arguing with her. $200 bill later, crying, we left... A month later I call to refill my dogs monthly prescription that costs $95 to find out they had emailed the wrong address to

We have used this vet service multiple times in the past, ( they have always been happy to accepted our money) today, we needed some prescription food for our cat. We have the majority of our vet services done in our previous home town, and have the prescriptions and well care info sent to them to have on hand, in case we would need an emergency service. Not after today! I was told that they would NOT be servicing anyone that did not use THEIR services. I don’t understand the vet biz, I guess, I thought there would be some mutual respect and willingness to assist, especially when they have records on hand of the well visits. It seems to not be the case at this office. I believe attitudes start from the top and filter down through the employees. I have never felt so un- welcomed in a vet

We take all of our animals to Veterinary Associates and we love them. Dr. Molly is amazing, I trust her 110% with ALL of my animals! The rest of the vets are great too! They really care and want what is best for your animal. Thank you for being great to our goats, dogs and cats!
