Vernon Animal Shelter

Excellent staff, really trying to find a home for each of the animals and encouraged us to come and visit with the cats to see which one would suit us. Found us a kitten that is just perfect, called us as soon as the kitten had been neutered and recovered fully, and made the entire experience wonderful. We already love this little guy, and he brings laughter and joy to our household. This experience is so far above what we found at other shelters, some of which seem to prefer to keep their cats in cages at their shelters indefinitely, sometimes years.

My town, my shelter. They care about the animals and I like that they are "no-kill" shelter. The right dog will come along for me.

I went there to get my dog's license but their computer was not working so the person behind the counter said that she would mail the license and receipt to me which took a few days. The shelter was very clean. The next dog I adopt will definitely come from their.

Got my cat here. Loved her to death. She disappeared on night in July, I called animal control, asked if they had seen an orange cat. No. Phone rings 10 min later...yes. She came to their door with broken legs, so they put her down. She was 6. Thanks. Lost the best cat ever. RIP Bax LOVE YOU ALWAYS
