VEG ER for Pets

I truly loved my experience here with everyone—from the front desk to the vet techs and doctors. The entire staff treated both me and my fur baby with so much kindness and care. My first visit back in May was especially meaningful. Clover had been in a car accident, which was an incredibly traumatic experience for me, but the team acted quickly and made the situation feel as comforting and calm as possible for both of us. When we returned again in January (clover had an upset tummy due to eating some toys), it was wonderful to see the same caring staff once more. Thank you all so much for taking such great care of my fur baby I’m truly grateful.

Everything you could want for you and your fur baby in an ER. You get to stay with your pet, all day and night if you have overnight care. It's accessible, right on M Street. It's super clean, the staff is professional, warm, welcoming and friendly. They all took steps to make sure both my pet and me were as comfortable as possible. Most services are performed right in front of you and there's no drama. They offer free snacks and beverages and even provide disposable toothbrushes if you decide to stay the night with your baby. It's everything I could ask for in a stressful situation and I was kept up to date frequently. I highly recommend VEG Georgetown. I wish every healthcare place could be like this.

I had a great experience at VEG ER. We arrived pretty late at night to treat my dog. We were received warmly by one of the vets. The entire staff was so caring making sure my dog's treatment was successful. The communicated our options and their recommendations every step of the way. Their concern and care helped during a stressful situation. Most importantly, they resolved my dog's health issue and he's as good as new! During recovery they even got him blankets and a pillow so he'd stay warm! Great vets and vet techs! Thank you so much. Highly recommend!

If it weren't for the fine folks at VEG, I don't think that our dog would be here right now. We had a scary and super sudden health event that required immediate intervention - we called ahead to let them know that we were coming and they had someone attending to her before I had even parked our car. They were busy too! I saw at least 3 other pets ahead of us so that shows how well they triage. They kept our dog for several days so that they could monitor her progress. We would get updates every morning (and would've probably received them in the evenings as well if we weren't already there). Visiting hours are 24/7 so you can visit your pets as you please. What a fantastic Vet hospital. I went here after going to Dog & Cat Emergency and Specialty in Bowie, which was crowded with a long wait. This hospital has knowledgeable staff! Triage took my cat’s vitals right away. The staff walked me through procedures, estimates and options. This is the most impressive vet hospital I have ever been to. If it is a drivable distance, come here! It’s absolutely amazing!!!
