VEG ER for Pets

I cannot recommend this facility enough!!! They are incredible in every sense of the word. I had to bring my sweet boy cat, Atticus Finch, in after having a urinary blockage removed at a different facility for overnight monitoring and continued care. Every single employee has gone above and beyond to help us and ensure he gets the best care possible. They are very kind, compassionate, and capable. Before I could even open the facility’s door, an employee was rushing to help me open it and get Atticus checked in. He was immediately seen by a vet and 2 techs. They have been as transparent with pricing as possible and accept Care Credit. Every single person on staff is absolutely amazing! I had brought my 13 week old puppy in and she ended having a safe tissue injury. They were all extremely supportive and offered drinks and snacks along the way and were more than accommodating. The care they give to all animals that come in is seriously top of the line! They were super informative and gave updates along the way without missing a beat! I seriously cannot say enough things about them!!

We are beyond grateful to the entire team at VEG Shrewsbury for the incredible care they gave our sweet Darla. From the moment we walked in, we were treated with compassion, patience, and kindness during an incredibly stressful and emotional time. The staff took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all of our questions, and truly treated Darla like she was their own. Being able to stay with her and feel included in her care made such a difference and brought us comfort when we needed it most. The facility is clean, calm, and welcoming, and every single person we encountered — from the front desk to the veterinarians — was professional, caring, and empathetic. UPDATE - as of 3/7, Rocky is now back home from Tufts! And the director at VEG called me to check on how he was doing on the same day, it was perfect timing. Thank you all again for the care and support. Happy to report that Rocky is purring, snuggly, and eating food as he adjusts to being home again. ❤️ I’ve had to bring my cat Rocky to this location a few times unfortunately, and I have nothing but great things to say about this facility and their amazing staff. The first visit was after my cat decided to take a joy ride in the dryer, which obviously resulted in injury and warranted immediate care - I was panicked and worried that he wouldn’t make it, and with his overnight stay at VEG, he fully recovered! Unfortunately, just over a year later, I found myself in need of their help

Our good girl, Jasmine, had been in a rapid decline for a few days. She had a few existing conditions and was getting old, but her new symptoms were very concerning (no appetite, puking, diarrhea, incontinence, mobility issues). Our home vet could not fit her in before a big snow storm, and recommended we go to an emergency vet. We brought her in around 6:45AM, and from the moment we were getting her out of the car, staff was attentive and helpful. Jasmine collapsed in the parking lot, and she was a big girl (70+lbs) who we couldn’t pick up on our own. Three different staff members came out to help us.
