VEG ER for Pets

This place is amazing. Never a place you want to visit of course, but so glad they were there. When my baby of almost 14 years felt unwell we went straight to the car. Pjs and all. The staff were so so so kind. They treated Athena very well and made sure we felt at ease at every step. You could really see the staff cared, not just for us but each other and it made a stressful situation feel less so, felt homely in there. They even pulled a bench next to her kennel so we could keep an eye on her. I know I use a lot of humor, as I kept cracking jokes, but inside I was panicking. And being able to see her perk up in real time brought me so much comfort. Pricing was straight forward and fair and they worked us through different options. If you want the absolute best emergency care for your pet, you must go to VEG. I brought my dog there after another “vet ER” didn’t resolve his issue & sent us home with barely any instructions on how to bring him back to health. From the moment we walked in the door at VEG, the robust team of brilliant minds, gentle touches, and big hearts took amazing care of both our furry family member and his parents :)

We’ve had our sweet cat, Tito, for 7 wonderful years. Last night at 8:00 pm she suddenly started breathing very heavy. Our regular vet was closed & referred us to VEG Brookhaven. I’m so grateful they did. From the moment we arrived, Alicia, Dr. Whitmire, & Andrew took Tito into their care w/ urgency, compassion & professionalism. Within 10 minutes, they determined she had fluid on her lungs & clearly explained every step of the procedure she needed. Andrew & Dr. Whitmire were so gentle & thoughtful with Tito. After the prognosis Dr. Whitmire even took the time to speak to our daughter on the phone to re-explain the prognosis. Last night my husband and I rushed to VEG for our dog and we were so worried. The second I walked in we were greeted and they began checking up on her. Every single person in the vet was so attentive, kind, and ready to help in any way. We had an amazing experience with this vet and would highly recommend them! We saw Dr. Havill, who was incredible along with everyone in the building.

Oh my gosh, this practice is AMAZING! Our 11 year old Chihuahua started getting really lethargic and easily startled out of nowhere and it was so scary bc the economy hasn't really lended itself to padded bank accounts. We called a few places that were open on Sundays and my partner found VEG while we were trying to find a place to get her seen ASAP, preferably one that was affordable. From start to finish, every single thing and every single person we interacted with was delightful, attentive, and upbeat.
