I had a terrific experience at a different VEG ER so when I relocated to DC with my 2 cats it was a relief to be around the corner from their H St location. I brought in my sweet boy Arlo for a wellness exam out of an abundance of caution after noticing his appetite was down. From the moment I stepped in, I was met with the utmost professionalism and kindness as was my baby Arlo. The staff are extremely informative and clearly care deeply about their fur patients. Arlo is usually terrified around others but they were very gentle with him and he was more relaxed than he usually is with strangers. Thank you for the peace of mind and helpful next steps.
I took my sweet baby Valentina to VEG ER, she didn't make it, my heart will hurt forever but one part of my heart is happy because I was with her ALL THE TIME, I never left her alone, Dr Paulina and nurse Grecia and everyone were so kind with us. They didn't put pressure on me to take the most horrible decisions I have ever done, they allowed to take my time to be with my baby, I am glad I didn't take her to another place where you have no idea what is happening 💔 Thanks God for making me to go to this place. También me hablaron en español ❤️ with all my gratitude, thanks for making Valentina go in peace and be son kind with her mom, meaning me. I miss my baby so much! Thanks to the guy who was very kind removing her catheter and helping me to put her in a white box to buried her. And tha
Genuinely so grateful for the supportive, attentive staff at VEG. My dog had to stay for two nights on an IV and everyone was incredibly accommodating of his needs and mine - I felt welcome to stay as long as I wanted, my anxious questions were answered, and everyone understood the love I have for my dog and the concern I had for his health. My dog received the best care I could have expected. His nurse Shay in particular was amazing. When I wasn't able to be there, I received regular updates by text and phone, and I appreciated the level of price transparency. He's very anxious and the team went above and beyond to try to help him settle, going so far as to set him up with TV on an iPad for a distraction (lowkey better care than I've received myself in any human ER). In a really scary s
Highly recommend taking your pets to VEG ER. They were incredibly sweet and had a great bedside manner. Even though they were busy, they checked up on me and my cat multiple times while we were waiting. They even had coffee! After her procedure, they gave me her meds in a bag with her name and a cookie drawing on it! (Her name is Cookie) I thought that was the sweetest most thoughtful thing ever! Dr. Forester did a wonderful job with cookie, and Tabitha and Taylor were also amazing!!
The unkind and unempathetic vet tech on Tuesday said I should not clean my dog who has horrible uncontrollable bloody diarrhea. Then the tech later came in our room and simply thought I was cleaning my dog and sternly reprimanded me (I was actually cleaning the floor because she had done a horrible job of cleaning up the diarrhea). The veterinarian said it was probably OK to clean her and said to put coconut oil on her, but did not seem at all confident so I was unsure who to listen to because the vet tech scared the crap out of me when she reprimanded me so strongly for just thinking I was cleaning off my puppy. So I bathed my pup once and put on coconut oil in the morning, and then did not clean her again until the next morning. But the next morning, her symptoms worsened (again) so I to
