I brought my 15-year-old diabetic dog, Bello, to this VCA ER around 9 PM because he was weak, trembling, extremely thirsty, and not eating. I was the only client there, yet we were immediately separated and he was kept in a kennel for hours. I repeatedly asked the front desk to please make sure he at least had water, and was told nothing could be done without doctor authorization. For over 3 hours, I was told he was “fine” and “just sleeping,” with no updates, no urgency, and no compassion. At one point I even had to call the front desk from my cell phone just to get someone to come out. The staff’s demeanor throughout was cold, dismissive, and emotionally detached, as if my dog’s suffering — and my distress — did not matter. There was no empathy, no reassurance, and no effort to make th

I adopted a kitten from IVHS about 5 days ago. VCA was able to get me in for a same-day appointment when I saw that she had mucus and stopped eating last night. They were very kind and helpful. All of the staff were friendly and seemed to really care. I was there for less than an hour. My kitten had an upper respiratory infection, received fluids and an antibiotic injection. She started feeling better a couple hours later. She’s now eating and acting like herself again, other than needing a bit more nap time as she recovers.

I brought my cat here for a wellness exam on Monday. We were the last patient of Dr. Denison on Monday evening. She failed to do a temperature check because I had mentioned that I didn't like seeing it be inserted (my fiance was present so he would've stayed while I stepped out for a few seconds) but she was telling me she didn't have to check it and there's no reason for it during wellness exams. she failed to check my cats weight as well and instantly took her back for vaccines. By the time we got home, my cat was a deer in headlights. Tuesday she rejected food and laid around and slept all day. I called VCA again and they told us to bring her back. This is where Shana Postel weighed her, did a temperature reading and determined it was a side affect as she was having inflammation issues.

Brought a homeless man’s 20 pound dog here for private cremation when the dog passed after hours. Their price has now become a set price of $289! This dog passed on a Saturday night so we paid it so that the dog would be taken care of that night but my usual vet in Corona is $115 for the exact same service through the exact same crematorium. I have used this place multiple times for this service and now that they have made it a set price, I will no longer be using them.

There is good and bad. It’s very expensive. Horrible/ very rude reception woman who tried to aggressively pressure me to sign a document authorizing a 500$ charge the second I walked In the door. She was brunette- sat as soon as you walk in the door a few steps down the desk to the left facing the waiting benches- don’t recall her name, I wish I did. She had Zero compassion for my pet and cared nothing about the situation, just cared about securing the money. When I declined to give her money, she picked up the phone with her attitude and screamed to their team in the back that “pets owner declined!!!’” trying to shame me because I wanted my animal seen by a vet and diagnosed before I agreed to any ridiculous up front charges. She should be fired, the most un professional vet receptionist
