VCA Highlands Ranch Animal Specialty & Emergency Center

Staff was absolutely incredible. Cannot say enough good things about this VCA. Bristol was too far gone to save but it was not for a lack of effort on VCA highlands ranch’s part. It was all hands on deck and full attention and we couldn’t have asked for anything more. So much thanks to everyone here.

I thought that my cat had a blockage or a UTI in the middle of the night the other week. I was concerned about costs so I asked them to check my cat out before taking any actions. They confirmed my cat did not have a blockage and that I could wait until my cat's primary care appointment in the morning to save money. It was very reassuring at the time. I will definitely take any cats or dogs of mine here the next time I have an emergency. Thank you so much VCA Animal Hospital, for the help and generosity.

I cannot say enough about this specific VCA location! I brought my previous dog here for end of life care and they made it the best experience possible considering the circumstances, and truly made us feel cared for. I now drive out of my way to bring my current dog here anytime I need emergency or after hours vet care, as they are the one place I trust to provide amazing vet care. They are incredibly thorough and knowledgeable and take the time to consider all options/courses of action to make sure your pet gets the exact treatment they need.

We had rushed in at about 11pm at night after our dog had a seizure. We had such a good experience. The doctor thoroughly explained our options and answered all our questions. We ultimately decided to put our 13 year old down that night and the staff was amazing and flexible. The rainbow bridge room was perfect for our girl to pass on in. NO STAFF AT A 24/7 EMERGENCY VET! On 2-16-26 my family unfortunately had to go to the vet emergency room for our dog Jax. We has called ahead at about 8:00 and we were told yes, they are able to receive Jax and look at him immediately. We left the house and got there in about 10 minutes and we were told that they wouldn't be able to help for at least 2 hours because a technician didn't show up to work. While they did recommend another emergency vet down the road, this situation is unacceptable for an EMERGENCY VISIT. Not having staff/staff redundancy at any 24/7 emergency room is ridiculous, and we caused an extra level of stress to Jax in his final hours of life by having to go place to place. I would not recommend here for just about any reason with this experience.
