Valley Cottage Animal Hospital

I began using this VCAH a little over a year ago with a rescue cat that had a neck bite. We were seen by different vets and vet techs who were all wonderful to the cat and explained thoroughly each procedure each time. The last visits were conducted by Dr. Herman who was so gentle, patient and soft spoken that made me and the cat feel at ease. She completed her antibiotics rounds and did her dental, now Fluffy is happily living indoors. After the wonderful experience I had with my rescue cat, I switched vets and brought my scaredy cat Lola for her wellness check. Her previous vet office had to sedated her or they wouldn’t see her which made her and me nervous. Dr. Herman completed her check up with no issues, made Lola and I feel comfortable and she came back home like nothing happened. S

Dr Atkins is the absolute BEST! She always takes the time to explain what’s going on and how to make it better. Her bedside manner with my sweet Bella, and myself is nothing less than empathetic and compassionate. You can truly feel the love she has for my girl. she goes above and beyond. I have never felt rushed Nor has she made me feel that my questions were irrelevant. I trust her with Bella, just like I would any doctor with my own children. We are blessed to have found her.

The Doctors understand that my Daisy is more than a pet, she's my family and they respect that. Dr. Downing is very thorough and nothing gets passed her! She sees everything and listens to everything. I feel that my Daisy is getting the best care possible. I just wish that we could use our own insurance for blood tests!!! It's scarry expensive and probably prohibits my getting her tested more often.

Dr. Downing is truly one of the best vets I have ever met. She is extremely kind, gentle and very informative. I trust her wholeheartedly. She always answers all of my questions and never rushes a visit. She takes amazing care of my 2 anxious Yorkies and treats them like her own. We have been patients of hers for over 10 years. We are so lucky and blessed to have found her. The entire team at Valley Cottage Animal Hospital is wonderful and I trust them with my fur babies.

My poor Bonnie , my 18 year old kitty, was there yesterday, for me to escort her over the Rainbow Bridge, after a dialog failing kidneys. It was an extremely heartbreaking loss, but sadly l hai no real choice. The doctor l was dealing with for the initial check up on Sunday and the administering of the medication to send her to her peace, was Dr Madoff (sp?) He couldn’t have been more compassionate and supportive. So kind . He made the saddest decision and outcome, as comfortable for Bonnie and supportive to me, seeing my heavy heart..
