Urban Animal

This vet doesn’t know when it’s time to say goodbye. My mom brought in our 15yo cat because her legs started to fail her the week before. In her heart she knew it was time, so she went in to put her down, but they convinced her to run bloodwork. My mom is sweet as honey and does not know how to take the lead, so she bought into their recommendations, and paid a little over $500 for this visit. After running labs they told her it looked like she JUST had a bad UTI and prescribed an antibiotic and said to come back in a week or two after but she should see big improvements in 2-3 days. Poor kitty came in because her legs were failing… again, my mom took their advice, and I told her to go ahead for peace of mind try the antibiotic (though the cat was 15, weighing 9lbs, when she was 18lbs back

I have been going here for years with my dogs and cat. They offer walk in services and appointments (appointments cost more and require a deposit.) The have late weekday hours but no weekends. This is for the White Center location. The Capital hill location runs the same. The down town one is apointment only.

We have had fantastic experiences with Urban Animal. We enjoy the convenience of not having to make an appointment sometimes and other times, it's great to have an appointment. The vets that we have seen have been fantastic. They were compassionate when our kitties passed away and knowledgeable when we adopted a new kitty with an amputated leg. Service is good. Everyone is kind. We'll keep going back.

Going to the vet is usually a struggle. These guys do a really good job softening the blow of difficult decision making and taking time to explain things in detail. They also take their work pretty seriously. And their wall photos are the best.

I have so much to express my gratitude for. I just don’t know where to begin. Urban Animal at White Center has been an incredible support system for us during this difficult time. Our senior dog Chilindrina🥰, who was 18 years and two weeks old, had to be put down on December 31st. It was a heartbreaking decision, but Urban Animal helped us navigate the process with compassion and understanding. They provided us with all the necessary information and resources, and they were always there to listen and offer support. I truly appreciate all of your assistance and support during this challenging time. I am grateful for the work that you do and for the care that you provide to our animals. Thank you!
