Look no further! Dr. Anstadt is a great vet. We went to him several years back because our dog would get UTIs about every 5-6 months with a $500 vet bill each time. He gave us great advice with dieting (since she was leaving food in the bowl and she wasn't overweight but the extra weight on her was making her more suspectible to UTIs) and using no salt to get her to drink and pee more often. After that, she never got another UTI. No other vet we saw previously actually helped us get to the root of the issue. We went there last month when our dog stopped eating and couldn't keep anything down. He did lab work, then exploratory surgery and found masses in her abdominal wall. I've taken my cats to Upper Heights Veterinary Clinic three times within the last year and a half. My cats were seen by Dr. Anstadt and Dr. Stoll, both of whom are kind, knowledgeable, and patient. After this most recent visit, I felt it was necessary to write a positive review. I called to express my concerns about a sudden problem my pet was exhibiting, noting that I was worried about how the condition might worsen if I couldn't get him seen until after the holidays (for context, it's December 22nd). Ashley, the vet tech, was able to squeeze me in for a last-minute appointment within an hour of when I called. With last minute appointments, I generally expect to have to wait awhile, but I was only there for 40ish minutes, from check in to check out. I was given a prescription that I neede

So friendly, caring, thoughtful! We put our dog down which was the hardest thing they were nothing but caring and thoughtful to us and our dog during this hard time. Could not recommend a more caring friendly place to take your animals

Upper Heights is the best low-key, old fashioned, vet clinic in Dayton. We've been seeing Dr. Sven with our cats for almost 2 and a half decades, and he's the most knowledgeable, caring, patient, and thorough vet we've encountered. We've tried other clinics and had a good experience at the AcutePet Urgent Care in Beavercreek, but we keep going back to Upper Heights due to its no-frills, customer-first atmosphere and their first-rate pet care that we've enjoyed all these years and hopefully for many years to come!

We have taken our pets to Upper Heights Veterinary Clinic for almost 30 years. Dr. Andstadt and his staff have seen us through the loss of 3 cats and 2 dogs, most recently our sweet senior rescue Chihuahua Sophie in early November. He and his staff worked us into their busy day at the Oakwood office when Sophie took a turn for the worse. They gave us all the time we needed with her before and after she crossed the rainbow bridge. They made a very difficult decision easier with their compassion and care with Sophie and with us. We had our sweet Sophie girl for just 5 short years but she definitely left paw prints on our hearts.❤️🐾🌈🐾
