Upfront dog center

Have been training my dog here for nearly 2 years. AMAZING, knowledgeable trainers. Each dogs personality & needs are considered in the training approach & methods. NOT a cookie cutter style of training. Can't recommend both Terri & Tammy enough, my boy LOVES them.

Burlington County Kennel Club held 2 rally trials here Jan 3 & Huntington Valley Kennel Club held Obedience trials Jan 4. It is a great facility, accomodations for indoor crating of dogs in cold weather was available and ample parking. The building is well maintained. It was a good turnout of entries.

I breed Newfoundland dogs and have been involved in obedience and rally classes at Upfront for about 2 years. Obedience training is a necessity for all dogs, but especially Newfs which is a giant breed and quite headstrong. My Billie learned recall from Terri and it saved her from an unsafe situation that could have cost her life. I am learning as much as my dogs from Terry and Tammi and especially enjoy Rally and now Competition Obedience. Highly recommend this school and have referred my puppy owners here too.

A big thank you to Terri and Tammy for helping our girl, Jayda, blossom into the wonderful dog we knew she could be. Basic 1 and 2 classes and reinforcing everything we learned in the classes on a daily basis, and Terri and Tammy seeing her potential and working with her, helped her pass her CGC. Small group classes, professional and they know their stuff. I really appreciated having the option of testing for CGC after the basic 2 class. I highly recommend!

Great facility, experienced trainers, flexible schedule. But, if you are completely new to dog training this is not a program I would recommend because they give insufficient attention to what I've learned is absolutely fundamental to dog training: ENGAGEMENT, FOCUS & ATTENTION. After 4 half-hour private lessons during which the word engagement was never mentioned, I was sent to a rally class that had in it dogs that had been doing rally for 3 years. I was expected to follow the dog before me and was taught no basics. If you want to learn the basics I would recommend Barbara Wirkowski at Bayshore Companion Dog Club. She is simply superb.
