The ability to have a discount is a great benefit for any household, especially where veterinary services are notoriously expensive. However, this is a service paid for by the consumer, and the customer service experience has been disappointing and condescending. If legal fees were more accessible, I believe there would be more litigation against them. In two separate cases, I found that services advertised as discounted were excluded under their claim that “pre-discounted” services do not qualify—yet these are still listed as potential savings. That is misleading to the public. When I raised this concern, the “specialist” simply said there were no additional savings, without acknowledging the misrepresentation. Don't waste your time. After much back and forth with vet and United pet Care as to whether or not they accept this insurance discount, I finally get a resolution that yes they do but that I was told they don't accept because vet is cancelling as of Sept. Had I known this was in the process of cancelling, or it would be this much of a hassle, I would not have wasted my $70 per month that I never received any benefit from since February. Bad customer service. Be aware!!

The customer service is great and everyone is very hospitable, but please do not spend your money on this membership service. It is very difficult to get a vet to take UPC's discounts and most of the time, the exams and tests that need to be applied to your pet are not covered. Save your money and invest in a more comprehensive plan elsewhere.

I've been paying them for the past 3 years and I get NO discounts for my cat and NO reimbursements for vet costs or bills. This is a SCAM. I've paid more to United Pet Care than I have spent on my cat. You're better off saving money and paying out of pocket anyway for vet care.

There website says “no waiting period “ but there is a waiting period after you sign up you have to wait to get the vet discount pricing. There website is not clear on waiting period and should disclose that when signing up! Pet owners be aware if you sign up & need to use for an emergency check the “ waiting period “ I don’t recommend if you need it right away!
