Union County Humane Society

We had a great experience working with Union County to find the right dog for our family. The workers were kind and really seemed to care about the animals. I could tell the dogs really loved the guy who works there. We didn’t feel any pressure from them to adopt and they were patient with us. I really appreciated their foster to adopt option because it allowed us to do a trial run with less pressure than an immediate adoption. We fell in love with our dog immediately and the whole process went smoothly. I highly recommend

I’m writing this review with a heavy heart, not out of anger, but out of concern for both animals and future adopters. I recently adopted a cat from this Humane Society with the hope that she would be a loving emotional support companion for my children. Before committing, I asked very specific questions. I needed a cat that was okay being held, good with other cats, and most importantly, an indoor cat, since I live in an apartment near fast-moving traffic. I was reassured on all fronts. Even before meeting the cat, I was asked to put down a nonrefundable deposit, which felt rushed. I trusted their word and declined another cat they said was used to being outdoors, choosing this one based on their assurance that she was an indoor cat and well-socialized. The staff at UCHS is truly one of a kind, they’re incredibly professional, loving and dedicated to what they do. I’ve never been to a cleaner facility than theirs! Kara is extremely kind and knowledgeable along with all of the other staff too. It’s clear they all love what they do!! I highly recommend going to UCHS for your next adoption or foster!
