Underdog Rescue MN

Underdog Rescue is absolutely amazing! We adopted our puppy from them and he is truly incredible- such a wonderful addition to our family. The entire experience was positive from start to finish. Elizabeth and Megan were especially wonderful to work with. They were kind, helpful, and clearly very passionate about what they do. It’s obvious that everyone involved with Underdog Rescue, both volunteers and staff, is truly dedicated to the animals in their care. You can tell how much they advocate for these dogs and work to find them the loving homes they deserve. We are so grateful for everything they do and for bringing our puppy into our lives. We will definitely continue to adopt from Underdog Rescue in the future. Thank you so much for all the work you do advocating for our furry friend

This is LONG overdue. I got my little shorty Jack Archie (Kirk) probably 8 years ago at least. He'd been returned, he was sort of feral and afraid of everything, and even though I'd had rescues my entire life, nothing prepared me for a dog this shut down. He had come from Missouri. Underground Animal Rescue visited my home, met my other dog and when the adoption happened gave me an actual booklet about how to treat him. I did end up hiring a dog behavioralist and Arch was on gabapentin for a few years. He eventually started to warm up me, and then I would bring him to work to get used to other people. This review is long overdue. I adopted Mortimer (fka Anakin) a couple of months ago. I could not believe how responsive and caring everyone was. Literally, everyone! From the first person who responded to my email to meeting the foster mom, I felt like everyone dropped what they were doing to make it possible for Mortimer and I to connect. I know that the adoption process can take quite a bit of time. I have a difficult schedule. But everyone took time to meet me later at night, respond to emails on the weekend, and go the extra mile to work with me. Prior to my experience with Underdog, I had dealt with some rescues that treated it more like a money machine than a rescue. I love Underdog because they proved that they are doing it for the animals. I especially want to give a huge Thank You

I have fostered 2O dogs and puppies with Underdog Rescue since 2020. They are a great organization that not only cares for the animals but also puts in a lot of time to ensure to dogs/pups get placed in homes that are a good match so it will be a forever home! This is my “foster fail”! I took her in when she was very pregnant and had 8 puppies that we cared for until they were placed in families through Underdog after there were 8 weeks old! Such a rewarding experience!

We adopted our Chow Chow puppy from Underdog this month and have had nothing but an amazing experience with them from start to finish. The team was really quick to get back to us with an application and within a few days we were meeting our baby at the fosters home. The foster we worked with, Connie, was such a lovely and kind person. She answered all our questions promptly and sent tons of great pictures/information. We would highly recommend this rescue to anyone looking to adopt. The team is super knowledgeable and cares so deeply about finding the right home for the animals in their care. Beyond grateful for the experience!
