When all other rescues and local chapters just ignore my desperate inquiry for help ( didnt even bother to respond), Kevin responded immediately and offered to help. He truly cares for tortoises, turtles,and people. He is an angel on earth. He was so patient, compassionate, and understanding. The way he takes care of all the animals he has and how he interacts with his volunteers and us was truly amazing. His mission is so noble, to educate people abt, rescue, and care for animals that need help. Please support Kevin and his Tortoiseland by spreading the news and donate when you can. We need people like Kevin who is selfless, caring, and loving.

We are very grateful to Tortoise Land for agreeing to take care of the tortoises our friends had to leave behind when they had to leave the country. I found a lil baby tortoise crawling towards the road in HLP… I scooped them up because I was afraid they would get stepped on or run over… it turns out they are a desert tortoise, a protected species! I had no idea what to do with the little guy… but thankfully TortoiseLand was there to help! When I came to drop Baby T off, seeing the place made me a bit emotional… it’s a wonderful place filled with wonderful creatures and kindhearted people who care so much about them :,) truly amazing work that they do. Many thanks to Kevin for responding to my call for guidance on how to care for our new household member - a 15yr old African Leopard tortoise.
