Top Point Kennels

My wife and I had purchased our gsp from top point and have boarded her there when on vacation. We are willing to drive from Indiana to top point to board our pup because we trust the owners with our dog more than anyone else. The owners took time to work on training our dog during her stay with them. We cannot thank top point enough for this sweet girl/hunting machine.

We were contacted that our dog needed to be picked up early from boarding for non emergency reasons. My husband had to leave our event to drive 4.5 hours to get her. When he got there she was the only dog just sitting quietly and she behaved fine when he was with her. Not sure what exactly was happening so I wont speculate. We don't want our girl somewhere she isn't wanted. 3 stars because we did have a couple good experiences in the past, but that trust has been broken and we won't be back.

Top Point Kennel is amazing!! We have experienced many other boarding facilities in the past 23 years with our past golden and our three-year-old boy that we have today. Nothing compares to the cleanliness, care, and over the top accommodations that all the fur babies receive. The new building is heated and air conditioned for temperature control comfort, and each boarder gets a raised bed in their kennel! On top of that, there is a large TV and a couch to make it more like home, and the attention they receive is full of love. Our boy gets so excited when we arrive at the kennel and bolts out of the car to meet Mel. That in itself tells us all we need. We feel so blessed that we have found a place that keeps our baby safe and gives him all that he needs while we are away. Thank you Mel an

Not much more can be said about the job Meliza does that hasn't already been said. Not many understand the amount of work she puts in running her kennel the way she does and the hard work it takes. She keeps the kennels and outside areas clean (pretty much spotless), the kennels are nice sized, she gives every dog their individual time if needed, she understands what dogs will play well with each other and which ones maybe won't and will never put anyone's dog in jeopardy of being hurt. As soon as you walk through the front door you'll see the difference from many other places. Not only does Meliza have her Kennel business but along with her husband Ryan they also raise and sell German Shorthair Pointers. I recently bought a GSP puppy from them this past June. Mel is absolutely the best, we trust her 100% for our dog-sitting needs! Our puppy started going to Top Point when she was only a few months old. Mel is very mindful of playtime, pairing dogs up with other dogs who have similar personalities. She occasionally sends pictures of our dog playing with her best friends! Top Point is very clean, organized, and welcoming. The play yard is huge allowing our dog to run off her energy, so she comes home and is calm all night! The socializing has also been great for our dog, and she is so excited to go to Top Point for daycare, she runs right in to greet Mel in the morning!!
