Top Dog Grooming Spa

This review is long overdue. It’s going to take off rough but I promise the landing is smooth. I first visited TD in December 2020. I took my then 12wk old Yorkie for his first groom. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. I took in a happy, fluffy, bundle of joy and I picked up a nearly skinned, shaking and afraid puppy. I decided that I would never return to TD again. However, my new groomer moved so I decided to give TD another try. In all fairness my Yorkie is temperamental and he had matting. These factors definitely contributed to his overall first experience. So as I said, I decided to give TD another try. I am so glad I did! My Yorkie has been going to them for over a year now. Two stars since the service is fine WHEN service is an option. Which is the real frustration cause getting service scheduled is nearly impossible. Phoning them is a wasted effort and text responses are days later if at all. Our experience was radio silence from them for most of the week then a text asking if we could be there within the next hour. We've taken our business elsewhere as a result.

My puppy is 80 lbs and they handle his "attitude about nail cutting" very well. Always a good experience

I never had any problems with Top dog. The lady ( with red hair ) who grooms my dog does a wonderful job. She’s very sweet. I really wish she was the manager. But this particular day the manager ( blonde hair ) is EXTREMELY RUDE. Even when you go in to make an appointment. She has the nastiest attitude. I always want the lady who usually does my dog cut but she wasn’t there. The manager did it and she made it seem like my dog was giving her a hard time and wanted to overcharge me. Now they supposed to call you right?, but she didn’t. She informed me that my dog was ready and my total. While telling me, the manager had an attitude. And this is not the first time I’ll speak to her and her demeanor is not good at all.

Our dog is almost 15 and can’t see or hear well, so I worry about taking him to the groomer and stressing him out. The folks here were super nice and they did such a great job! He looks precious. Definitely will be back.
