Johnny and his team are incredible! My spouse and I visited for the first time this week and did the VIP ranch tour. Highly recommend! We fed carrots to over 300 friendly horses and donkeys (from mini to mammoth)! They let you kiss their snouts and want more and more kisses. Too precious. It was an magnificent experience and we learned their stories and how they’ve flourished since being rescued. Most have horrifically sad histories and many were rescued from kill pens, which is a very tragic ending for the ones that don’t get saved. However, the ones that were rescued are thriving in Johnny’s care and they absolutely adore him (and he them). This was truly a magical adventure and we learned so much from Johnny. This is a fantastic rescue. The volunteers are very caring and attentive to needs of all the animals that live here. On the first Saturday of each month there is a program where you can come and walk a donkey around the area for about an hour with a volunteer. You and the donkeys get some exercise and it is all for a great rescue

This is an a truly amazing rescue. I have followed them for years and they are constantly working to save donkeys, mules, and horses from being slaughtered, shot, or starved. Marjorie, the ranch manager, will go to great lengths and anywhere to rescue them. You can adopt these super personable rescued animals. They receive so much love and care that their sweet or sassy personalities really shine. These animals will follow you around, they love hanging out with people, and really love carrots and ginger cookies 😅
