Thomasville Humane

i am so beyond disappointed in the lack of empathy we have received from thomasville humane. to start off, we adopted jasper (formally smoke) months ago. i’ve seen multiple posts made about how you do everything you can to help adopted dogs and adopters transition, but while we are struggling to help our dog jade, jasper and us adjust i reach out for guidance and i receive no response. thankfully his trainer has helped guide us in areas we need it. we were also not given any previous information on him, for instance i was unaware he had previously broken his last adopters wrist until you found out he broke my finger. again, thankfully we had his trainer to guide us through handling him. however we love jasper, so we have tried to let this go and move forward without your guidance. until to

I recently bought a house in Thomasville. I wanted to adopt a dog to be a companion for my dog, Bailey. The dog that I chose at Thomasville Humane was a dog that had been at the shelter for a long time. The area where they have the dogs meet is unfortunately placed right next to the outside cages. So the dogs have to meet each other in a very high stress environment with all of the other dogs barking at them. This was hard on Bailey. But when they met they showed no aggression towards each other and I agreed to adopt. Quickly I realized that the dog I had a chosen showed evidence that it had come from an environment of abuse and neglect. Lots of great dogs that need homes! Helpful staff. Easy process.

Adopted my dog from them a year ago and more recent dropped day kittens that were found. They were great both times and very helpful when most others couldn't help
