The Woodlands Luxury Pet Resort & Spa

We've been super thrilled with The Woodlands! Our Golden Retriever, Hobbes, loves it here and is always super excited as soon as we turn down the road! We've used them for daycare and boarding, and even had to have them administer medications for us. We're traveling this winter and I was super concerned about what to do with Hobbes, but I feel a lot better knowing that The Woodlands takes care of him and that he loves being there. Thank you to the team!

We chose this kennel because it advertised itself as a “luxury pet resort” and because our pup loves water. We felt like they were misleading lots of overnight owners so we had to post this review in the hopes the owner decides to change their policies. In case you aren’t told or are unaware, dogs are put to bed at 6 PM right after being fed dinner and not let out again until 7 AM — a 13-hour stretch without a bathroom break and without any interaction (!!!). This was insane to me when I found out. I looked it up and this is far beyond the 8–10 hours recommended by the American Veterinary Medical Association and Humane Society. Going that long without relief can lead to urinary tract infections, bladder stones, and kidney issues, especially for young dogs still developing bladder control.

A Beautiful place to bring my pups when needed. Friendly staff and I feel very comfortable leaving my 2 dogs there when I need to be away from home.

I think my dog likes it here more than being home with us. He LOVESSS it here! As soon as we pull on the road he is whining with excitement! I cannot get him in the front fast enough. Good thing the staff is wonderful and likes him because he is so excited to be here. I bet he drives them nuts and they do not show it at all! I love the photos I get from his day! We did board him for a week during the summer and he looked happy without us. They do offer additional items to add on for the day and we love the eggs and pool! Murphy looks forward to many more days of day care!

The staff is incredible! My dog is very anxious around new people, so we brought him to daycare a few times before boarding him. We picked him up today after a weekend of boarding and were very pleased. The staff consistently was in contact with me sending updates, nice messages and lots of pictures! They made sure to let me know he was doing okay and got more comfortable as time went on. He has really opened up during his time here and I am thankful to have a place I feel comfortable bringing him. He will be back for daycare and boarding in the future!!! :)
