The Village Vets Virginia Highlands

We love the Village Vets. My two mastiff girls are typically not a fan of the vet but they love Dr. Stoffle, he’s their favorite! Though we’ve seen one other doctor at clinic once before and she was also great so you cannot go wrong! Seriously, you can really feel the love for the souls they care for.

Dr. DeLong is truly one of the best veterinarians I’ve ever worked with. She has taken such wonderful care of my dog, Layla, over the past couple of years and has been incredibly considerate and empathetic through all of Layla’s challenges—especially during a serious stomach issue. Dr. DeLong even emailed to check in on Layla, which was so comforting and made me feel like she cared for Layla as if she were her own. The entire staff is always kind, helpful, and welcoming. Appointments are easy to schedule, and the wait time is minimal. I’m so grateful to have found such an amazing and compassionate veterinary team.

Let me start off by saying this. If you choose to take your pet to Village Vets, specifically the Virginia Highlands location.. DON’T. if you wish to be employed with Village Vets… DON’T. The employees at the hospital are phenomenal and they deserve a better manager than the one they currently have. The hospital manager, Sunnie, seems to be absolutely incompetent for her position. She doesn’t seem to have much knowledge of the veterinary field at all. Whenever I call to speak with her specifically, she is unsure of how certain problems can be resolved at her hospital. Since I have been bringing my pet to the Village Vets, my journey has been everything but easy. They never answer the phone when I call and I am always having issues & problems to where I consistently need to bring my dog bac

I brought my kitten, Waffles, in for eye treatment, which I appreciated, but I was very disappointed with the nail trim. Several nails were cut too low, some weren’t cut at all, and there was visible bleeding. This injury was not disclosed to me, and I was given no aftercare instructions. Discovering this afterward was distressing for both me and my kitten. Transparency and care are extremely important when trusting someone with your pet!!!

We love village vets and especially working with Dr. Mathews and Daijah. They took great care of our baby boy for his annual exam and made the process simple and easy. Highly recommend for your pet care.
