I volunteer here and see firsthand how well the animals are cared for. We have water, and the animals receive regular veterinary care— even taken my own pet for treatment. This is a beautiful place where the animals are happy and healthy. From what I can tell, the negative comments are coming from the same small group of people and don’t reflect reality.
I've seen this all over social media i really hope the animals are ok I don't even live in the state if I can get actual clarification that people are lying i will change my review
A hoarders idea of paradise. Hundreds of dogs that were sick, malnourished, scared, and filthy were seized from this property. All of this is well documented and available via a simple Google search. Despite having NO ANIMALS in his care, Randy Skaggs continues to scam people for money for Trixie's operations. He has requested multiple continuances to avoid facing the consequences of his actions in court. A close look at public records will show that very little of the money he collected was ever used for the care of the animals in his custody. Avoid this place like the plague, and support a reputable 501(c)3 instead.
Randy's heart is good. If yall put as much energy into destroying his dream instead of trying to help him, these dogs lives would be better. Has ANY of the people trying to shut him down opened a new place for dogs to go in the area? All I'm saying is assess the main problem and work to fix it. If you don't want to help him then make a new place that saves dogs. I know this man intimately and I'm telling you his heart is in saving animals he's literally just overwhelmed.
I stayed and volunteered here. It is a very beautiful property. The animals all seem very healthy and happy. It is a great thing they have going on here. They give plenty of room for the dogs to roam, while providing protection behind gated fences. The cats roam, and seem very happy.
