I stopped in today after spotting a dachshund model in the window wearing a rain jacket— My own dachshund has some funny proportions, so I’m always on the lookout for well-fitting gear. You can tell immediately that the owners genuinely care about dogs—it’s clear in every detail of how the store is set up. The jacket I found is made from high-quality material and is even reversible, which is a great bonus. I can’t recommend this business enough to fellow dog owners in the area. A truly thoughtful and well-curated shop.

The Tail That Got Away Dog Goods is a locally owned business run by Nikole located at 421 N Phillips Ave, Suite 128. It is a very nice place to shop for your pet and you see products that you don’t see at other pet stores. I ask questions all the time, and Nikole is very knowledgeable about what is in the shop and what items would be good for your pet. She is a very caring person who enjoys her job, and if you have your dog with you, she’ll ask you if she can give your pet at pup cup to enjoy while you are there. Great service!

We love The tail that got away and it is a MUST STOP for me and my dog Kai everytime we are downtown! They have a great selection of high quality treats and toys and dog accessories and are the nicest staff! 5 stars definitely check them out!

This shop is so cute and the owner is so friendly! Loved getting to bring Pilot somewhere to visit and shop local for more (definitely needed) treats and things. Will definitely be back!
