We had such a great experience working with Karen. From the very beginning, she was incredibly helpful and truly took the time to listen to all of our concerns. We came in with several specific challenges, and instead of a one-size-fits-all approach, each session was thoughtfully customized to address what we needed. Her guidance was clear, supportive, and practical, and we could genuinely see progress with our dog as we went. We’re so grateful for the progress we’ve made and highly recommend Karen to anyone looking for a trainer who truly cares and delivers results!

Karen is fantastic! We started working with her to help our high-anxiety dog, Snickers. From the beginning, Karen provided us with a wealth of tools to help Snickers feel more confident and secure. She introduced us to a variety of games that helped build focus and problem-solving skills. While Snickers still experiences some anxiety, thanks to Karen, she’s much more trusting and able to focus on tasks that help her navigate stressful situations. As life evolved, we added two more dogs to our family—each with their own unique challenges and needs in a multi-dog household. Karen was incredibly accommodating, allowing us to bring different dogs to different sessions so we could focus on one at a time. She was always well-prepared, thanks to her excellent communication, and made sure each do

My rescue puppy Macie and I started working with Karen when Macie was approximately 12 weeks old. My vet recommended her because I had concerns about some resource guarding and was looking for puppy training guidance. I am incredibly grateful for the outstanding support and expertise provided by Karen. Her patience and positivity is awesome – we both learned so much! Sadly we moved out of the area or I would still be signing up for her small groups and private sessions. I highly recommend Karen!

I can't say enough good things about Karen and the incredible work she has done with my reactive dog. My vet recommended her when I was in a state of desperation. Before we started training, daily walks were a major source of stress—for both of us. My dog would lunge, bark, and completely lose focus around other dogs. I felt helpless and honestly overwhelmed. From our very first session, Karen approached the situation with patience, professionalism, and an incredible depth of knowledge. She didn’t just give me a list of commands to follow— she took the time to really understand my dog’s triggers, emotions, and unique personality. Her positive, force-free methods built trust, and I started seeing real progress sooner than I ever expected. An unexpected bonus: our other dog, who has been sca

My rescue dog, Sissy, and I loved working with Karen Mast! Like many rescues, Sissy came with lots of issues; Karen was strongly recommended by our vet in Waynesboro, and we began with the goal of introducing a muzzle to Sissy. She was very reluctant at first (ran to the opposite corner of the training facility at the sight of it!), but she now happily wears the muzzle for many activities. We learned so much more, too, but I felt that Karen's kindness, patience, and willingness to try lots of alternatives to find the best method, all came together to profoundly improve the quality of Sissy's life. She loved her training sessions and participated with great joy!
