Jamie is absolutely wonderful and patient with both her four-legged and human clients! As most will note, behavioral training is as much about understanding your dog(s) and teaching them how to understand their world as it is for the people to learn how to achieve this in a consistent way. Jamie did this with amazing patience and grace. We adopted an Amish Surrender dog that had very little love or socialization for the first 5-months. While he had made good strides being in a safe environment; all of the tools and "hacks" that Jamie gives her client's to work with has made an incredible change to his confidence as he experiences new sights and sounds... We will continue to look to Jamie as we move forward and will highly recommend her and Speaking Dog to anyone in need of training/behavio
Jamie is great! We contacted her to help train us and our 8-month Australian Shepherd, Frisco. In addition to the traits and behavior typical of an Aussie, Frisco is an Amish-surrender and came to us with some baggage. She helped us work on a lot of those issues. She also helped us with Frisco's sister, Breck, a two-year old Border Collie/Great Pyr mix, who is a sweetheart but has a stubborn streak. As serial dog owners, we've hired trainers in the past. Without a doubt, she's the best! Would definitely highly recommend her for anyone who needs some help with their dog.
I cannot recommend Jamie highly enough. She's warm, patient, flexible and clearly adept in what she does. She taught us so much about behavioral cues, training strategies and simple ways to enrich our dog's life. We started working with her after our dog had issues with reactivity towards people who he deemed were a threat to us. Now, after working with Jamie, we are equipped with a processes to approach dog-human interactions that was adapted specifically to our situation and our dog's needs. I feel like our dog is set up for success when meeting new people. I feel much more confident and safe when introducing him to new people and also in my ability to recognize signs that he needs a break or should sit a situation out entirely. Our dog has done so well after our work with her and has ha
Jamie was exactly the breath of fresh air we needed. As dog owners for twenty five years together, my wife and I thought we had dog parenting skills down to a T. Them we adopted a Shepski(Shepherd Husky mix). We SURE learned quickly we had a lot to still learn. Jamie brought us perspective that I never had which included focus on enrichment for our girls. We have always spoiled our girls but providing the daily enrichment that they need was EXACTLY what we were looking for. Communication wise, documentation wise and everything inclusively about Jamie was A+++. Would ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND without hesitation for any and all needs regarding giving and getting the most from your pet relationships. THANKS Jamie
In February 2023 I impulsively brought home a 2 month old male chihuahua. He is my first dog. I had been a cat person all my life. I’m 60. I had no idea what to do and how to train him. I found Jamie’s business through another trainee that highly recommended her services. We talked on the phone and I felt very comfortable right from the start. Even though my puppy was not the most engaging dog during the social sessions w the other puppies, Jamie helped me understand and accept the following: his breed traits, his own particular personality and his pace of socializing. At the end of our 6 months working together and my following the course online, I had grown a lot more confident and I could feel my puppy had the foundation to grow into a confident, relaxed yet well trained adult dog.
