The Scratching Post

These people were so kind. I went to their cookout today (June 1st, Saturday). I even got a tour of their shelter. Three were so many unique, little kitties. Please please please consider adopting one of their little furballs, I spent only minutes with them and they brought me so much joy. I can almost guarantee if you took one home every day would be filled with smiles and giggles. You wouldn't just be adopting a cat but a best furry friend!

This cat shelter is so clean. And, there were lots of stimulating toys and fun things for the cats to do. Obviously they want a furever home, but they are well-taken care of until the right person comes to get them.

I absolutely love this shelter! I adopted my cat here about 7 months ago, and I’m so glad I picked this shelter. Adopting was a great experience, since I got to interact with many of the cats rather than just seeing them through cages. The staff was super helpful and allowed me to spend more time with the cats I was interested in, after they initially showed me all the cats. They even do a final vet check up appointment before you take the cat home, and give you treats and toys. Make sure you give the shy cats a chance- my cat had been there for 9 months and was super shy, but now she’s the quirkiest (see picture 😂) little ball of love! Thank you Scratching Post

We adopted two cats from the Scratching Post and they are so adorable! We love them! The shelter was helpful and communicative every step of the way, letting us play with the cats in each cat room at the shelter, answering our questions, and making sure we picked the cats that were right for our house and us! They are very responsible and really do love each and every cat, wanting them to find a forever home! I'm grateful to them and to our two new cats!

This place is amazing!! Just taking a tour, you can tell they care immensely for these kitties. There’s different rooms to suit all the different personalities instead of one single big room like most other shelters. The cats are happy and not stressed. Ryan is the powerhouse of that place. He is an outstanding human being. Adopt don't shop!
