The School 4 Dogs

We got Gunner a 95lb 14 month old Rhodesian Ridgeback Apr of 2025. He came to us with a wonderful loving disposition but other than potty training he had NO other training. To say he had an abundance of playful sometimes wild energy would be an understatement, he had no understanding of the appropriate behavior to be part of a family and live in the house with us and our cat . Since working with Andy, Erin and Amber for the last 6 months they have trained my wife and I how to teach Gunner what is appropriate behavior in our home. The 95lb canine tornado we took to "The School 4 Dogs" 6 months ago is unrecognizable, and so are my wife and I when it comes to understanding dog behavior. We took our 5 month old puppy to the School For Dogs’ 6 month program. From the start, it was clear Andy and Erin cared about our dog and our goals for him. Every class was customized to fit our goals for our dog and was not just a generic training session. He learned so much over the 6 months and we regularly get complimented on how well behaved our dog is at less than a year old. He was even able to pass his AKC CGC by the end of the 6 month course. We also had the opportunity to take a group class with Andy and Erin. This class was great exposure to other dogs, environments, and real world situations. We are very grateful for the lessons not only our dog, but also us as owners, have learned and will continue to grow on. Thanks Andy and Erin!!

I brought my 1 1/2 year old high energy GSP to The School 4 Dogs to prepare him for the CGC and for his next step in service training. Not only has Erin and Andy help me learn how to train Bugs they have also taught me alot about myself and how to be a good dog handler. Not only is the training top notch professional, they are also very personable and tailor the training to you and your needs. I have four rescues and we hike a lot. With sixteen paws to my two feet, everyone needs to be well behaved. My newest girl, Valerie, was picking fights with my old girl and responding to basic commands only if she felt like it. My dog Harrison and I had a great experience at The School 4 Dogs. Harrison was struggling with reactivity. Both Andy and Erin are very knowledgeable and experienced trainers. Their calm and professional approach helped both me and Harrison feel more confident with our abilities over time. During our six-month course, I was able to easily choose the day and time each week for a session that fit my schedule.
