The Rattery

My experience with the Rattery has been nothing short of amazing. After spending a ton of time checking out the website and everyone's reviews, I had tried and failed (entirely due to my own fault!) to make an appointment to visit their rat room. Luckily for me, Jax is incredibly accommodating AND quick to respond to messages-- so we were able to arrange a tour that same day! The room is well-maintained, ventilated, and the cages are both clean and have great setups. And (most importantly) the rats are the sweetest, healthiest lil beans! I've owned rescue rats for a decade, so I showed up with a ton of questions about these babies' health and temperaments, and all the behind-the-scenes pet care, too. Got the basic rat package, definitely recommend!! Jax was super helpful with everything- made sure the dimensions of my tray liners were correct, helped me pick toys that my rat would love, and included me in the process the whole way. The liners are super soft, and stretchy which has actually deterred my boy from chewing some, and everything is really high quality. I'll definitely get more from them in the future!!

This is an amazing place to get little furry friends from! Jax is incredibly helpful, professional, and kind. They were super involved the whole process, and obviously loves what they do very much! We got two little boys from them today, and we could not be happier!!!

I live 3-4hrs from most Ratteries and so it was important that I find one run by someone who was understanding, responsive and kind. The Rattery (run by Jax/Jaxy) ended up being the one I went with and I am super happy that I did. I ended up taking home 5 sweet and energetic girls. Before and now well after the purchase of my 5 girls; Jaxy has been super kind and helpful towards any questions I send their way via text. Jaxy went above and beyond for me and it really means a lot to me. The 5 girls have had 0 known health issues and are playful, energetic and friendly. In-fact, as I write this review I have 3 of the 5 crawling on myself as I type it out. I highly recommend this place to anyone searching for a pet rat. Jax was super helpful and friendly throughout the whole process, which especially meant a lot to a first-time rat owner. We received regular updates about the rats before and after they were born (including some great photos and videos), got to visit the Rattery in person before committing to purchasing anything, and got very thoughtful and thorough responses to any questions we had. The rats themselves are amazing. They were clearly very well socialized before we took them home. We’ve had a number of people comment to us about how calm and friendly the rats are, how they’ve never tried to bite anyone, and how they make other people want to get a pet rat!
