We cannot say enough amazing things about Grant and the transformation he’s helped our GSD puppy make. When we brought our girl home at 10 weeks old, we did everything “right.” Puppy socialization classes, obedience classes, private sessions — you name it. She was always a little shy, but as she got older, that shyness turned into reactivity and fear. She became highly reactive to strangers, terrible on walks, triggered by cars and people, and VERY overprotective of her humans. We had a wonderful experience working with Grant. He is extremely knowledgeable and clearly has a deep understanding of dog behavior. From the very beginning, Grant took the time to get to know our dog and explain the reasoning behind the techniques he recommended, which made it much easier for us to stay consistent at home. He gave us practical, easy-to-follow recommendations for things like managing greetings, improving leash behavior, and building better communication with our dog. We adopted a puppy at Mission Bay Puppy Rescue and they recommended Grant as a dog trainer for our pup, Camper. Grant was immediately able to provide us with custom suggestions and solutions, helped us teach Camper great leash manners early on, and helped us tremendously through in home training as well! He introduced a variety of tools and concepts, all of which we practice still. We will continue going to Grant’s group classes and are so grateful for all he did to set us off to a great start raising Camper!

We started with Grant when Tomson was only a few months old. He was having some issues with guarding and impulse control. Grant gave us meaningful exercises to do which brought us through puppyhood to his teen months. Now that he's a little more mature we are working towards obtaining off-leash freedom.
