My brother's Golden Retriever shared a familial bond with my own dog, who sadly succumbed to cancer not long ago. This experience led us to question the quality of commercial pet food, suspecting it may have played a role in our dogs health issues. Motivated to make a positive change, we transitioned to a raw diet based on valuable guidance from the knowledgeable staff here. Dr. Downey is the absolute best vet I have ever worked with. We have had her as our vet for many years with our beloved dog Duke who lived a long and wonderful life because of Dr. Downey's nutritional advice, treatment when he tore his acl, his allegies and everthing in between. I trust her judgement on all fronts for the care of our dogs. When we moved out of state - trying to find a vet that is as knowledgable, compassionate and offers very specific treatments to each dog is impossible. We now have 3 dogs - live part time in NC and part time in FL - we have vets in both locations but Dr. Downey is the best by far.
