The Dog Stop - East End, Pittsburgh

We took our high energy dog Frank in for an evaluation. The staff was super kind and accommodating of his behavior. Although the evaluation was free, they spent so much time with him - playing with him before introducing him to various combinations of dogs. Ultimately, he didn’t end up being a good candidate for group play since he demonstrated negative behaviors each time a third dog was introduced. We left with a better understanding of the best play settings for him and hope to bring him in again for a group play reevaluation in the near future! They also sent us home with some treats and goodies for Frank. Thank you so much to all the staff at the dog stop east end!

Sierra did a fantastic job with my pupper! My dog is very nervous around strangers and does not love being groomed. Very thorough job getting information ahead of time and I think that really helped my pupper have the best experience that should could in a new place with new people! We will be back :).

Sierra did an amazing job with my pup! She had great communication and even gave a complimentary teeth cleaning since my dog's nails didn't need to be trimmed. The Dog Stop also gave me an adorable "report card" about my dog's day in daycare. I would recommend this location and Sierra especially.

The Dog Stop has been such a great place for my pup, Molly, and a supportive resource as a new dog parent! Staff are friendly, welcoming, and communicate promptly. I also appreciate how well they assess the dogs' temperaments to ensure they're placed in the right spaces and the time staff take to play with the dogs throughout the day. I credit our experience here with accelerating Molly's socialization skills. Without a doubt, Molly comes home from The Dog Stop happy and thoroughly tired from playing all day!

A friend recommended The Dog Stop. I hadn’t boarded my boxer anywhere previously. I wasn’t sure how she would react with other dogs. The Dog Stop offered a complimentary assessment which eased my mind. Drop off and pick were easy and I even added a bath and nail trim upon pickup. Great people. Great facility.
