I can’t say enough good things about The Dog stayaway camp and training program. I’ve sent two of my dogs, Abby and Phoebe, and both came back noticeably better behaved, calmer, and happier. The training truly works. One of the things I love most about this facility is the huge grounds—there’s so much space for the dogs to run free, roam, and just be dogs. It’s clear they get plenty of exercise and enrichment. The trainers are amazing: patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. You can tell they love what they do. I also really appreciate the regular updates with pictures, which gives so much peace of mind. Your trainer is always at your fingertips if you have questions or need anything. We highly recommend the team at the Dog Obedience Girl (the DOG). They have been taking care of our dog, Kota, for over 3 years and we are happy to have become part of the pack. The DOG has provided Kota with training, day camp and boarding. Kota is playful, smart, curious and he loves being active and getting a lot attention. The team at the DOG understands this and has taken great care of him. It is a huge plus that the DOG provides a farm environment where Kota can run around – he always comes back well exercised and ready to rest. We have been using the D.O.G. for six years, ever since we got our dog Enzo as a puppy, and we truly can’t recommend them enough. Enzo completed their three-week training program and since then he has attended weekly day camp and boards with them whenever we travel. He gets so excited every week when it’s time for pickup, which says everything about how much he loves it there. The team has always been incredibly responsive, flexible, and genuinely caring with Enzo. It gives us complete peace of mind knowing he’s in such capable, loving hands.

We were so lucky to find the DOG ~5yrs ago. Our labradoodle, Rigby, started going to the DOG when she was ~2yrs old and this has changed our life. I actually cannot imagine dog ownership without the DOG's support. Rigby goes to camp 3x per week. I know she loves the DOG because her tail is wagging like crazy when she gets picked up in the morning and she walks right out to the van. She comes back happy and exhausted! We find that Rigby sleeps pretty much ALL DAY on her non-camp days because she is so tired from the exercise. The DOG transformed Rigby from a nervous, scared dog, to a confident, well socialized, happy dog! We love everyone on the staff - drivers, reservationists, trainers...everyone. The incredible staff and the love and attention they give to our two dogs make “The Dog” a true home away from home for them. Anytime our dogs see anyone from the team — whether it’s at our house for pick-up or when we arrive at the facility — they go crazy with excitement,. It’s clear the team genuinely cares — not just about providing a service, but about building real relationships with the dogs and their families. Whether it’s training or boarding, we have total peace of mind knowing our pups are safe and engaged. The progress we’ve seen through their training has been remarkable, and when they board, they come home happy, calm, and clearly well-loved.
