The Dog House

We came to Breckenridge from Texas for a wedding as part of a larger trip and needed a place to board our 10 year old mixed breed for a couple nights. I found The Dog House online and found they accept dogs prior to meeting. Great option for those who might be passing through. Check in and check out were a breeze. Thaddeus was super nice and friendly. Answered all my questions and was very attentive to our dog. Thank you so much for taking such great care of Lucy!

I wish I could give any substantial review but they make you schedule a reservation and then their regular customers have until 9am to use the facilities at which point you can drop off at 11-1 period. “We do not prioritize first time reservations” then why show as available but also how is someone supposed to become a regular customer if they can’t make a first reservation.

I have used The Dog House for both daycare and boarding for my 1 year old Bernedoodle. Check in and check out is easy. Thaddeus has such a nice calm demeanor and provides great customer service. The communication was great and he went the extra mile with our pup as she can be a little shy in new situations. We paid for a bath after a 3 night stay and Frankie came home happy and clean.

We are dog people - we grew up with dogs, have had a dog almost every day of our more than 33 years together, and we absolutely LOVE the Breckenridge Dog House! We’ve been taking our little husky to the Dog House regularly ever since we moved full-time to Summit County over four years ago, when she was a puppy, and she still gets SO excited when we tell her she is going to “visit her friends”. She starts whining and barking in the car when we turn onto Continental Ct. because she knows where she is headed and can’t wait to get there! Thaddeus and Megan and their team have always been SO good to her and we feel 100% comfortable with the care and the attention that she receives.
