John has been amazing training our two rescue dogs, Cosmo and Henry, who came to us with both very different and similar needs. After just a few sessions, we have seen marked improvement in both dogs. John's patience with the dogs, and their 'people' is never ending. We are looking forward to enjoying the improved behavior and will definitely return for more help when we need it. John was incredibly helpful and patient while working with our puppy, Sadie. We were amazed at how some simple, foundational tricks became powerful tools for getting her attention. I reached out to John as a first time dog owner after adopting a reactive dog. When I first contacted him about training, I felt completely overwhelmed. I recently adopted a new dog, Wendy, at the end of October. She is the sweetest dog, but very nervous/anxious with new people so I decided to hire a dog trainer to help with techniques to build her confidence. I found John the Dog Clicker through a google search and decided to try him out based on him being local as well as his positive reviews. And while it’s still going to take time for Wendy to trust and feel comfortable around other people, John really helped with showing me ways to use treats to help train her and how to properly introduce her to humans.
