My elderly parent’s elderly dog was a patient here. My dad brought dog in and he was diagnosed with a dislocated spine. The vet did X-rays and prescribed medication at the total of $650.00 only to call my parents the next day and recommended putting dog to sleep. Why would they have them spend so much money knowing that the dog needed to be put down? Charged them 160 to put dog down the next day. I despise seeing anyone getting ripped off especially the elderly. Thank God they never have to step foot in the office again. Beware people of Stantonsburg and surrounding area. Find a caring vet because this one’s not it.

Had a 9am appointment, didn't see anyone until 10:30. My cat was taken back, 15 minutes later the vet tech came in with options, another 15 minutes later my cat came back in worse shape than when we got there. The vet NEVER came in to talk to me. I had to ask someone if the person I was dealing with was a vet or vet tech. I was very frustrated that I had to ask why the vet didn't bother to come speak to us, completely unprofessional. When I refused to pay for a vet, because I never saw one, the office manager joined the party and attempted (and failed) to be intimidating. I'm not sure why she has a job because the scheduling and communication at this place sucks, should be managed much better than it is currently. Our puppy needed to be seen urgently and we thought we would have to go to an emergency vet on New Year's Eve, but The Cottage Animal Clinic was able to fit her in. The staff was friendly, very informative and took very good care of our puppy's needs.

There really needs to be an option where you can either skip the part when you have to give a star rating or there needs to be a -⭐.. some businesses and/or products don't deserve even 1 star..and with that being said...The Cottage inspired that thought. Countryside animal hospital was my Cat's primary clinic until their promise of returning any medical messages from a pet parents via FB messenger that they receive after hours and the weekend was not kept.
