Kiyo is a resourceful, thoughtful, and dependable dog trainer. She uses a positive reinforcement method, which has worked great for our dog, who really loves her. We contacted her because our dog’s reactivity and barking surfaced when our daughter came home for a Thanksgiving break. Kiyo quickly made time to visit us. For every session, she made a thorough training plan, helped us train, took time to listen, gave us advice, and so on. When our daughter’s next visit came close, Kiyo even contacted her colleagues all over the US to formulate a thorough plan for us. After just a few weekly visits (and our own training guided by Kiyo), our dog showed a lot of improvement, and after 7 visits over a few months, our dog has adjusted and accepts not only our daughter but also other people and dogs

Kiyo has known and trained several of my dogs over the years with outstanding results. Her reward based training means I form a bond with dog based on respect and not fear, something I value greatly. Kiyo is an awesome teacher and really understands dogs. She is helping me with my reactive border collie pup and he made great strides in just one session!
