The Clean Dog

Kat did a groom for my golden retriever and did an absolute hack job. I specifically asked if she was experienced because people have a hard time doing long haired breeds, and they assured me she was qualified. They lied. Her ears are still greasy, have goop in them, and her teeth are definitely not brushed. Giving a bad groom is one thing, but she also nicked my dog in MULTIPLE spots. See pictures. I knew she was acting weird when I got her, and it was clear based on how long she peed when I finally got her SIX HOURS after drop off (10am -4pm) that she hadn’t been let out to pee during that time. She’s been sad and somber all day and if you know goldens you know that that is the opposite of who they are. I will never ever go back to this establishment.

I love the clean dog!! They’ve done a great job on both my dogs - one is a boxer/chow mix and one is a Great Pyrenees. The Pyrenees especially has hair that gets easily matted and is so hard to wash at home, he always comes back looking and smelling great. They are also super careful with the nail trims and his double dew claws are trimmed, I always had issues at past groomers where they would trim the double dews too tight and they’d bleed. All the workers are super nice and they’ve coached me through what type of services are best for my dogs coats and specific needs. Scheduling online is easy and convenient and paying that way too. There’s often availability at the day/time I want which is rare. Couldn’t recommend this place enough!!

This is the only place we take our little Maltese pup - been going here for years! When we first got our baby, it took forever to find the right person to give her the perfect cut - had a lot of bad hairstyles until we found the Clean Dog! We get the Cosmopolitian about every month or so and are able to put specific notes on file, i.e. # blade, rounded muzzle, keep the ears long like pigtails. Isn't she lovely?

This review is long overdue! We have been taking our Australian Shepherd to The Clean Dog since he was a puppy. He is not an easy dog to deal with and does not like baths, brushing, or the dryer. Every time we have taken him to The Clean Dog they have been wonderful and so patient. When we drop him off now he struts in and doesn’t look back! I’d recommend The Clean Dog to all my fellow dog owners.

Ana at Clean Dog does an excellent job on our Standard Poodle. We have been going there for several years now. I'm attaching a pic of his teddy bear cut a few days after he got it. We had her really shave down his body for summer, so that is why his fur is so short on his body. He overheats.
