The Bird Loft

I love this place so much! It started with buying just one bird for the kids. Now we have bought 4 total from this store. The hand fed/tame Parakeets are my childrens best friends. The birds play with my children, ride on their shoulders, easily step up on our hand. I have never had such wonderful birds in my life. They also have a great selection of toys and bird food(which they can ship to you if needed). The owner Desiree and all the staff working for her are very kind and knowledgeable, they take the time to talk to and educate as much as you need. Despite living an hour away we always come back to the store for bird grooming as needed and buy more toys or ect. Lol.

We have been going to the Bird Loft for over 12 years. 4 of our feathered Family members have been purchased from here. We have an 11yr old Umbrella Cockatoo, 11yr old Green cheek, 12yr old Green Wing all healthy and well adjusted. We also have a 16 yr old Blue and Gold that we rescued when he was 4. We purchase all feed from the Bird Loft. Feed is always fresh. Lots of toys and other accessories. Staff is friendly and helpful.

UPDATE Since I was unable to respond to the comment that was left, there was No blood in his carrier, his nails were also bleeding. I still have the vets response if needed. I did not ask for any help paying for the vet bill as I was advised to do. Just beware of taking your birds there as not everyone there is trained to work with them. Love the place as a store, but when it comes to grooming beware. I have taken my bird here a few times with no issues. I take him in this time and was called back to see him bleeding from his nose, I was given a vets card and told me to take him there. As I was upset and crying took him to see the vet, I was told he was probably man handled, or dropped. He had to stay at the vets over night to be watched. $677.00 later thank gosh he was ok. The Bird Loft is one of the best places to buy birds and supplies. You can tell they truly care about birds, especially the owner, who’s the sweetest. She has such a great personality, and teaches a lot about birds.

I adopted my blue Quaker parrot from them back in January, and he is thriving! I picked him from a group of older birds they had available for some time. He was initially rather timid and easily startled. However, with patients and love, he has blossomed into a wonderful companion. I encourage you to consider giving older birds a chance!
