I want to give a huge shout out to Barkly Pet Resort for great service! We were out of the country for two weeks and boarded our two dogs and cat (this was the first time our cat was ever boarded). We had some specific food requirements and Kitty had never been boarded so I was a bit apprehensive. Into our trip for two days we received a call that Kitty had blood in her urine. Quite alarming to say the least. They got on a 3 way call with our vet and it was determined we could wait until the morning to have our neighbors pick her up and take her to the vet. We were so thankful that they called and that they were so observant. Thank you! We would take our dogs here every week day, for doggy daycare. One day, we we're picking them up, and one of the attendants told us that our beagle had a great day of fun with the other dogs. Sounds wonderful, right? When I asked about it, I was told that he is usually kept in a separate dog run, by himself, because he's a fence fighter. But the morning attendant didn't know this, and mistakenly put him in with the other dogs. This defeats the purpose of taking him each day. He can sit alone at home, for free. When picking them up the next day, I asked if he had another great day with the other dogs. The person said they have to keep him separated, because he's a fence fighter. Yes, he is. But he doesn't fight when he's with the other dogs, which you accidentally discovered yesterday, so w

We’ve been boarding our pups here for years now whenever we go on vacation. The staff are always friendly and patient. It’s obvious that they care about animals. Our dogs are happy and healthy when we pick them up, which are obviously the most important things when boarding. Their kennels have concrete floors so make sure to provide towels, clothes, or bedding if your pup is not use to sleeping on concrete. The only thing I wish they had were cameras inside so pet parents could look in on their furry companions.

Dropped my Siberian Husky off this summer and I can say it was a great time! We opted for the extra play time which was def worth it because when we got her back she was exhausted from playing so much! Was great to see her tired and happy! She was also perfectly groomed for us when we got her as we opted for that service. Was great to pickup a clean pup. Also I might say the staff was awesome. Super friendly to book with and during pickup it was just as friendly and up beat. The pool service was def worth it - I would assume that has a bit to do with why she was so tired (She loves the pool!!!). Overall I would recommend The Barkly to anyone that asks!! Sweet staff who took great care of my kitten. They emailed me photos and were prompt with their responses. The cat houses are much bigger here than at other places! I will definitely be bringing him back!
