The Barking Birch Pet Lodge

We bring our dog Maui here often and gladly drive over an hour round trip because it’s the only place we truly feel comfortable leaving her. She is nine pounds, and it gives us so much peace knowing they protect her, handle her gently, and make sure she’s safe at all times. She absolutely loves other dogs, and we love that she gets to play and socialize while still being closely watched. We look forward to the pink report sheets they send home, and we’re always checking the Facebook photos they post while she’s there. We love our dog so much, and it genuinely feels like they love her too.

I had my puppy there for daycare prior to an up coming vaccation (per their policy). He seemed to have enjoyed the day and was so tired when he got home. They gave me a report card of his day which was nice and the staff really seem to love dogs and care for them well. They even have an event calendar for doggy daycare with events and other things going on, it was so cute. He even brought an art project home. Would recommend.

My dog and I love this place. The staff are kind and patient with my dog (who is a bit of a sensitive creature), whether it's daycare or an overnight stay. I do not worry at all while she is with them and she always comes home happy. The team there are truly remarkable and I am so so grateful we found them.

My dog Puck is been coming to The Barking Birch since early 2021, and he LOVES it! The staff greet him by name, they know who his “friends” are, and they are always engaging and sweet to my boy. I have to be careful when using the word “daycare” because he gets so excited to go! I love the fun seasonal and holiday stuff the staff do with the dogs (I have some of the “art” he’s made on my fridge) and I always love seeing him playing on their social media pictures. I especially love that he’s not in a kennel all day and he gets to play even if it’s cold or rainy. I have and will continue to recommend this place to anyone I know.

We took our puppy to play for the day and although he was shy he came back home tired and happy. We are returning this week. Love this place.
