The Barker's Pet Center

I have been bringing my dogs to Barker’s Pet Center for daycare, boarding, photography, and grooming since I moved to Fort Lauderdale in 2021, and I truly cannot say enough good things about them. Over the past five years I did try one other local facility once, thinking the grass might be greener—but it was a complete disaster. I went right back to Barker’s without hesitation. That experience made me appreciate even more how exceptional Barker’s really is. The staff consistently treats my husband, our two dogs, and me like family. Even during busy or high-volume times, everyone is respectful, professional, and genuinely pleasant. I’m sharing this review solely to communicate my personal experience. I brought my dog in on this occasion due to an emergency, as all other places were fully booked and I needed him to be bathed that same day. From the moment we arrived, my dog appeared extremely uncomfortable and distressed. He was crying, pulling desperately, drooling excessively, and became so anxious that he scratched me. This level of stress was very concerning. This situation was especially disappointing because this was not the first issue I have experienced here. Some time ago, my dog suffered a skin burn during a previous visit. I addressed this directly with management, was assured it would not happen again, and chose to trust the facility and continue bringing my dog back. However, during the last two visits

We are traveling and needed a place for our pup to stay for the day. The facility, staff, and care my dog received was incredible! We are so thankful to have discovered Barker's! We will definitely be back the next time we are in town.

I don't even know where to begin with how amazing Barkers has been for my Husky King. The ENTIRE staff treats King with more love than I could ever ask for and there's nothing more comforting than knowing he is in great hands. I have never had an issue with the staff, other dogs, or any of the services offered at the facility. Naomi, Lucy, and Linda treat him like he's their own, and that is not something you see at all centers. From field trips, bobbing for apples, and his daily cookies I know my pup will always look forward to his days at Barkers. I appreciate you all and I know you mean the world to King. Thank you!

10/10 I recommend this facility to everyone with a dog. The staff are kind, caring, and amazing dog people. They set up fun activities every day so the dogs are always entertained. My lab loves going here during the week. If you live nearby and you want the best for your pup, check them out!!
