The Aquarium Pet Store

Very nice! Answered all of my questions over the phone because I wasn’t sure if I wanted to drive the 45 mins even without having a for sure purchase. Once there they greeted us with smiles on their faces and talked extensively on what to do for our little buddy to make him the most comfortable. We did spend quite a bit for him and all his accessories but that’s to be expected and every item they suggested wasn’t even the most expensive. Seems they are more about the comfort of the animal and what they are used to than the actual profit.

Store is great, and has many fish and reptiles to choose from. I also have a question for the owner though, do the ferrets that are sold still have the scent glands or are they removed ?

The Aquarium pet store on 10318 N 2410 Rd Weatherford Oklahoma is a pretty cute little lfs it also has ferrets, chinchillas, reptiles, birds, etc. fish tanks have pretty good husbandry but I do have some issues considering the fish they have certain individual fish that don’t have proper husbandry as in a a huge iridescent shark in a fish tank I asked them it is not for sale and a betta in a small cube w a filter and a betta log. Water in gold fish & koi tank was murky as all living hell. Boa constrictors enclosure was very small but overall all the animals looked healthy and happy. They had a rescue cat and he was very cute and sweet he was a munchkin cat I didn’t catch he’s name tho but they had cherry shrimp and snails (as any lfs would have). My 18 year old daughter bought a pet rat, and supplies to go with it yesterday. She got home in Elk City, and water bottle didn’t work. Had a crack. She called down there and explained she lived 45 miles. Little water bottle was $13. The old lady argued with her, and was quite rude. When she told them she had bought several pets and supplies there, the old lady said snotty, ha you don’t buy MUCH in here. I’ve been in there twice and didn’t care for it. If you like rude entitled people, who don’t stand by what they sale, go to the Aquarium, where you don’t matter because you don’t SPEND MUCH in there!!!! I love supporting local business, but I don't necessarily love the store. It's better than the old location, but still don't love everything about it. The entry way always reeks of cigarette smoke. Until recently, they always had two cats running around that were sweet, but always shedding everywhere. Otherwise, the store is very clean. There's a decent selection of animals and supplies, but I feel most are over priced. I've bought many animals for a variety of purposes there and the only thing that was ever bad quality was some basic goldfish that died within a week. But you kind of take that risk with young basic goldfish and it wasn't a huge deal. Every other animal was healthy. All in all, it's not horrible. I'd rather buy from a breeder direct for birds and reptiles than any pet store
