The Animal Store

Our family visited The Animal Store mid-October to find a budgie to join our family. We drove over an hour to get there and arrived about an hour before closing. Kenn greeted us and told us to take our time looking at the birds. Once we had decided, Kenn was very good handling the bird and moving him into our travel cage. Kenn took the time to ask us about the full-size cage we have at our home and made sure we had everything we needed. He also took the time to help us with food and how to transition from just seed. Over the past several weeks, our little budgie, Revali, has had a great check up at our local vet, and he has been thriving here at home.

Great experience at the Animal Store! The owner was very informative and helped us pick out the perfect new addition to our house. This Pygmy hedgehog (Gertrude 🙂) is as sweet as can be. Kenn also helped with the supplies needed for her. He was not pushy and even gave us some money saving tips. On a follow up visit, he even stayed with us to give training tips. Highly recommend

It took us 40 minutes to get there but it was worth it. Great animal store with variety of animals for pets! You can even pet the animals. We bought a hedgehog for our friend. The owner also told us we can call anytime with questions or for advice. Great place!

DON'T SHOP HERE. This pet store is holding a tortoise, named Spur, hostage in captivity on public display - for over 30 years. It is animal cruelty. Full stop. This poor animal is not offered for sale but is being housed in conditions that appear neglectful and potentially harmful to its health. Based on my observation, Spur's enclosure and care do not meet basic standards for proper husbandry. Specific concerns include: - Inadequate enclosure size and environment - Lack of appropriate heat and/or UVB lighting - Insufficient access to proper food and/or clean water - Overall conditions that appear unsafe or detrimental to the animal’s well-being Tortoises have specific care requirements, and prolonged exposure to improper conditions can cause serious health issues, including metabolic

Absolutely love the selection of bird toys they have! Super large selection of large medium and small bird toys. You can always find enrichment for your bird. The staff is very knowledgeable about birds and what their needs are! My new bird set up with several new toys!
