This experience was not only unprofessional—it was heartbreaking, infuriating, and something I will never forget what happened on the farm side of this vet! We called this veterinary office in desperation, trying to save a pet who meant the world to us. He wasn’t “just an animal”—he was family. He was my husband’s companion, a source of comfort and love, especially meaningful as a veteran. Watching him suffer was already unbearable, and we were doing everything we could to help him. When I first called, I was told it would be $450 just to be seen, and up to $650 or more for X-rays. My experience at Texas A&M Vet Hospital was extremely disappointing and disheartening. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that genuine care and compassion for pets was not their priority. The staff came across as cold, dismissive, and disorganized. I left feeling like my pet was just another number rather than a life they were committed to helping. On top of the poor service, the costs are outrageous. A standard visit came out to nearly $1,500, which is beyond unreasonable for basic veterinary care. For those prices, you would at least expect thorough communication, compassion, and professionalism — but instead, the entire experience was stressful and unwelcoming. The staff were very nice and helpful with any questions I had regarding my horse’s procedure. I highly recommend Dr. Katie Glass as she’s very knowledgeable and detailed in her work. She’s a top notch surgeon and would give me daily video updates on my horse so I always knew how things were going. You can definitely tell she cares for her patients. 100% would recommend!

I cannot thank this team enough. Dr. Park and Melody were mainly assigned to my sweet baby boy Goose. They did not let us down. He had a late diabetes diagnosis and was prescribed bexicat. Unfortunately, the medication is new and for some cats it works great but for our family, it rapidly sent Goose into severe DKA practically killing him. We seen 3 local vets that treated him but all lost hope and sent me shuffling off to the next place. The last local vet had the hard euthanasia conversation with us. My boy wasnt ready and neither was I. We asked what other options we had. They recommend the big city hospital and warned it may be expensive. We drove 4 hours from east texas. Their policies do not make any sense and their prices are ignorant being a school where your students are benefiting. The prices should not be as high because of no one comes to you. You don’t get the experience aside from the horrible price and horrible being the nicest way I could say it as for the policies I called about my dogs cataracts. I have to take my dog to a vet that is not qualified in anyway to do anything about cataracts. And get a referral to take my dog to a place that I am paying cash if they’re not qualified in cataracts, then they’re not qualified to make decisions in cataracts. That is another waste of money. $5000 per eye for your students to learn how to be veterinarian doctors whatever when you’re already getting Paid for the student so now you’re getting paid twice
