I adopted my dog here over a year ago. She was about 1 year old they said, she may have been 2 or 3. Really shy and timid, fearful dog. I had to sign a paper acknowledging her fearfulness when I adopted her. She needed a loving home and has been a blessing in my life. She must have had traumatic experiences in the past, so she has been reactive on leash and has needed additional training. However, she does great off leash and is very social at the dog park. Definitely a hunting breed and athletic dog, needs lots of exercise. I usually take her to the dog park to run around to tire her out. I’m a first time dog owner so I had a lot to learn! Please consider adopting an adult dog, despite challenges and stereotypes! It is so worth it❤️ she has helped me get out of a dark place in my life and

I was able to adopt my amazing girl Mango. She's a rare female orange tabby and i'm so thankful for all the help and affordable pricing at the shelter. My baby had got to the shelter 15 minutes before I did, I really do believe she was my perfect match 🥭🧡!! Thank You TAS!

Our shelter really cares about the animals and it shows. They do so much to make the lost pets found and the ones who aren't, get paired with someone who will love them. I've adopted 5 wonderful fur babies from here over the last 20 years, and they gave me the happiest memories of my life. Thank you for doing what you do!

My boyfriend and I adopted are dog Riley from the Tallahassee shelter almost 5 years ago and it was the best thing we could have ever done! The process to adopt him was super easy no problem.
