Sura Dog Training (certified dog training)

I reached out to Sura Dog Training for help with a reactive dog (e.g. defensive/aggressive to some strangers). Let me preface that if you question how your dog may react to strangers, then you and I had a similar situation. Start to finish, the team (Ty and Caryn) were awesome. The entire process, from application to completed training session, was superb. Communication was professional, fast and detailed; there were never any surprises. Ty offered me and my puppy some very useful tips on potty training, feeding and crate training. There's so much contradicting advice out there that I was getting confused and so was my puppy! Ty really helped get me back on track. I feel so much better. His calm demeanor and confidence in me was very reassuring. I will be contacting him again if I have any other questions. He's awesome!

When my dog James was a puppy he was kicked out of obedience school because of his aggressive reactivity. Due to the shame and guilt, we didn’t try obedience school again. He is now 10 years old and we decided it was time for him to go back to school and “get his GED.” When we called around, we were turned away from the other training schools due to him being older and bite reactive to humans and dogs. We found Sura Dog Training and just had our training session with Ty less than a week ago. I’m not going to lie, I was skeptical about only having one session with them but from what I am currently witnessing, as long as you keep up with the “treatment plan” and use the tools you learned from the session, you can only go up from here. Ty and Karen just left after spending 90 minutes with my dog, Selah, my husband and me training us to be the best we can be. His gentle training methods were appreciate by us all. He offered some much needed tips and reassurances to help Selah use a soft mouth and learn to be a loving pet.
