Sumner Veterinary Hospital

After a few bad experiences at other vets I have been very pleased with the care my dog has received here. The vets are attentive to my concerns and don't rush through the appointment. It can be a bit expensive at times but the techs are always willing to help us find options that fit the budget and are still effective. It being a 24 hour vet makes it easy to schedule appointments at times that work for me and if there is ever an emergency I know my dog can be seen in a familiar location with people who I trust. I appreciate also that they make an effort to let pets stay with their humans for the appointment.

My situation is still very fresh but I wanted to review this hospital as they have provided the most exceptional care for my sweet boy. We came in for a pericardial effusion and had emergency spleen removal surgery. The whole process has been a lot for me and my family and especially for my sweet Bailey. Thank you to Dr. Kon Park who stabilized him quickly and explained things very clearly for us. A huge thank you to Dr. Van Maren who was stopping by on her day off and chose to stay through the night to perform his surgery. She was very clear with us about her findings and what to expect when we transferred to an oncologist. Additionally, I am so grateful we had a triage nurse as kind and compassionate as Megan. Exceptional customer service from the very first phone call. All the staff is extremely knowledgeable and compassionate. I always felt like they had my pet's best interest at heart. Their pricing was extremely fair. I would 100% recommend this Vet hospital.

Sumner veterinarian hospital was very good to Charlie on her last visit. They took great care of her and made sure she felt safe and that they ease her scaredness. Thanks to the doctor and the doctors assistant Charlie got checked out. Got some labs. Got some x-rays and we know what’s going on with her and so we’ll be able to get her healthy and live a much longer life. Wait times are outrageous. I've been twice now. First time I went my dogs tail was broken in half. Literally. Bone sticking out and everything. It took me 5 hrs to get seen and several more hrs to get treated. Now, I thought that was a fluke because it was during covid when everyone was going to the vet and we had to sit in our cars. I was wrong. When I got there the last time there were 2 other people ahead of me. They were taken back within an hr and a half. By the second hr I was in the waiting area alone. It was dead. I sat there alone for another hr and a half by the 3rd hr I was getting pissed. Another customer came in to complain about their wait time.
