Sugar River Animal Hospital

I've been using Sugar River since Catherine was the only Vet in the old building. She truly cared back then! Now with her expanding into this hospital with several Vets the prices are sky high i suppose to pay for that huge building and all the Vets! Her focus is now on money not the animals. You no longer get to see her anyway! I saw her 1 time since I got my 2 kitties. After losing my last cat to cancer. Which was the worst experience ever. The vet that put her to sleep was the absolute WORST!!! She put us through HELL! It took her almost 30 mins to finally get her. Thank God she was knocked out because she would've suffered so much! The trauma it caused myself and my daughter will never be forgotten! Now 1of my cats suffers from chronic ear infections they diagnosed it, so they know it!

My 13 year old cat (Leia) was referred to your clinic today by her regular vet. My son and I were impressed with your squeaky clean facility, friendly professional staff, and awesome vet. It's so hard to find all this in a vet clinic these days! It was worth the trip!

I drive an hour to bring my fur babies here. The people working at Sugar River are wonderful. So kind and so helpful. One of my sweet boys just passed after a battle with CKD and I got a sympathy card in the mail with messages from the staff written inside. I did a ton of research about CKD when my boy was unexpectedly found to be stage 4 and when I asked questions I always got quick, helpful answers. When my boy with heart issues and diabetes had to go under to have his teeth pulled Dr Chase kept me informed and updated right through the procedure. I was a mess, worried he wouldn't survive the anesthesia, and she was great! I knew he was in good hands. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE! They diagnosed our dog with diabetes four weeks ago. We’ve had our dog in to see three different vets in the office all of whom have suggested different approaches to getting an accurate blood sugar level so they can prescribe the right dosage of insulin. Every time we try to follow up with the vet by phone they never call us back. Of course they are happy to see us on an emergency basis but sadly it’s just another unprepared vet that doesn’t know our dog and provides yet a different course of action. We’ve now been waiting for two and a half days to speak to a vet and still nothing but excuses about how they need to review his records before they can talk to us. Great place, everyone was nice. They even called the next day to make sure my cat was okay after getting his annual shots. They are knowledgeable and able to answer all my questions and concerns. It was my first time at the vet and I was more nervous than my cat. He did great! They were great with him as well.
